Tyson believed in the trans-formative power of global experiences and cultural understanding. This endowment supports students at Academic Magnet High School (AMHS) by providing financial assistance, for participation in school-sponsored international trips.

To reduce financial barriers for students seeking to participate in educational travel abroad, helping them grow through exposure to new cultures, languages, and global perspectives.
Applications will be reviewed and final selections made by the School Principal, Guidance Director, and Science Department Head. Scholarship distributions will begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must submit their interest along with the requirements established by school administration, which includes the following:

This endowment shall be held in perpetuity by the Coastal Community Foundation (CCF).
